Nauto 2 User Guide

Welcome to your Nauto device! This guide contains everything you need to know about driving a vehicle with the Nauto device.

The Nauto device records activity both inside and outside of the vehicle, which will then help you operate your vehicle more efficiently and safely. You’ll also always be connected to your fleet manager in case there is a problem on the road.

What you need to know

  • The Nauto device has already been installed and tested in your vehicle by a qualified professional.
  • The device includes two cameras: one that records activity inside the vehicle and one that records activity outside the vehicle.
  • Looking at the device through the windshield, a green light should always be on.
  • When the vehicle is moving, the cameras record video of activity inside and outside the vehicle. When the vehicle is parked, the device does not record video but takes periodic snapshots.
  • There’s a small fan in the device that may make a faint noise. This is normal and indicates that the device is working correctly.
  • The device may display a faint IR light when in night vision mode

Controlling the Volume

Two buttons at the base of the device control the volume of any sounds the device makes.

  • The ‒ button turns down the volume.
  • The + button turns up the volume.

  • Don’t tap on or try to move the Nauto device. The cameras in the device are carefully calibrated, so any manipulation of the device could cause it to become misaligned.
  • If you see a small red light display on the Nauto device, notify your fleet manager that there could be an error with the device.
  • Avoid touching the wire that extends from the Nauto device. If the wire comes out of its installed location, contact your fleet manager.
  • Be sure the area of the windshield in front of the device stays clear. Generally, if you can see through the windshield, it’s clear enough. But in snowy or muddy conditions, the vehicle’s windshield wipers may not reach the area where the Nauto device is mounted. In this case, you should manually clean the windshield in front of the device.
